How to Install GRP Water Tank?

STEP 01 : Weld the channel base

a). Four corners of channel steel groove all outward, vertical of channel steel all turn to right, and the horizontal all upwards.

b). According to the size of tank, before welding channel steel, firstly, measure the length of two diagonals make sure two measurement results less than 3 cm, then begin to weld channel steel(Pls ignore the raw video welded already)

a). Layout all bottom panels according to the mark drawing(We offer the panel layout drawing)

b). Put the Φ10*45 bolt with two washers sanwich panels and rubbers.

c). The rubber’s two sides are different, thick side inward used for touching water. Screw bolts (No need for auxiliary angle bar for bottom).The torque is 17 N·M (Caution: when screw the nearest two bolts  at each panel corner , the torque should less than 12 N·M to avoid damage)

d). The rubber must be longer than panel and cut the spare parts after fasten.

a). Turn over the complete bottom panels and place on the U-steel base frame. (If bottom panels is in big quantity, first separte the bottom panels in groups (4 pcs each group or 6 pcs) and then just turn over bottom panels times, finally screw and connect all bottom panels under the base frame). Make sure the joints of tank is on the surface of U-steel base frame.

b). Weld the small angle iron on the C-channel.

c). Drill hole on the panel standing used for connection between angle iron and C-channel to avoid bottom board translocation.

d). Put one round of rubber strip used to connect between bottom board and side board.(Make sure rubber longer than panel ending 1-2 mm and cut it)

a). The assemble method is same as bottom panel(Refer to 5.2) ,the only difference is no need auxiliary angle iron for horizontal and vertical. Put the angle iron and bolt them together.

b). The sequence is bolt-washer-panel-rubber-panel-angle iron-nut (Caution: when screw the bolts at cross stitch of the panel, the torque should less than 12 N·M to avoid damage,rest bolt torques should be less than 17 N.M)

Pls kindly check below side panel installation details:

a). Cut the redundant rubber at the corner of the inner tank.

b). Paint the glass cement at the corner of tank.

c). Install the stoppage ,and caution the direction, in case of corner of bottom with side panel, the stoppage should install by vertical, if for corner of side panel by side panel, the stoppage should install by horizontal.

d). Fasten the part of stoppage from outside.

e). Paint more glass cement around the inner stoppage, and flatten them to avoid any leakage .

a). Mark the hole location according to the lacing rod plate and drill the hole.

b). Put the double thread bolts from outer to inner.(Causion: We matched the clear silicon washes for export instead of piece of black rubber what showing on the drawing.)

c). Install the lacing rod with inner lacing bar plate.(The thickness and material of lacing rod is according to client requirements).

d). Fasten the internal bolts and external bolts.

a). Mark the hole according to the size of pipe terminal and drill by hole saw.

b). Put the bolts from internal to external (Caution: We matched the clear silicon washes for export instead of piece of rubber what showing on the drawing.)

c). Paint the glass cement around the bolts and pipe terminal.

d). Install the pipe terminal and fasten the bolts.

The assemble method is same as bottom panel(Refer to 5.2), after fasten the panel, carry up to the top of tank if the panels are less than 4 pieces. Otherwise install the panel on the top one by one according to the assemble method of bottom panel. (Caution:The rubber is needed between the top panel and side panel)

a). Drill the upper and lower hole according to the position and length of level indicator.

b). Put the glass tube through into the hoop and rubber for standby.

c). Install the valve in the hole.(Caution: We matched the clear silicon washes for export instead of piece of rubber what showing on the drawing.)

d). Install the tube into the lower valve and upper valve and fasten the hoop.

a). Release the bolt of the side panel and bolt the ladder clamp with angle iron together.

b). For the upper clamp of ladder, drill the hole on the angle of side top panel according to the position of ladder, then bolt them together.
